Two Weeks and Counting!

I am so humbled by the generous spirit of Petaluma area restaurants.  With 2 weeks to go until the Turkey Party, we officially have eleven donating restaurants!  And that's not counting the grocery stores who have pitched in to help!  Thank you Lucky's and Oliver's!  Now it's up to you people!  Come and bring turkeys!  Let's make sure that no one in Sonoma County goes without a Holiday meal on our watch!  Thank you all so much - as I said, I am just humbled by what this town can do.

Check Out All of our Donating Restaurants!

We just confirmed that one of my new favorite places, Wild Goat Bistro will be one of our donating restaurants!  I so cannot wait for the Turkey Party just to sample tastes of Petaluma's finest restaurants!  Love that!  And really love the spirit with which this community seems to be filled with when it comes to Charity functions!  This is such a great cause with such a great need this year.  I am simply overwhelmed with gratefulness at the willingness to help shown by absolutely everyone we have asked to be a special part of this special day!

I just do!  We have just confirmed that the acclaimed Water Street Bistro as one of our donating restaurants!  This event is becoming more and more a "Taste of Petaluma" kind of event where we can enjoy the best food this area has to offer and help to feed a whole lot of people who would not have a Holiday meal without your help!  What an awesome feeling that is to know what a huge help you can be with one or two extra turkeys!  Thank you for your generousity and for sharing what you have with a stranger.  Someone you don't know, but is not so different - but for the grace of God... you know?  If you have connections to any area restaurants who might want to donate - if you want to donate, please contact me.  If you can come and bring a turkey or two - WOW!  That would be wonderful!

The First Dine and Donate Event of the Year!

Is at Velasco's Restaurant!  Thursday, September 9th all day, please take time to come to Velasco's at the corner of Washington and Kentucky, here in Petaluma and have a wonderful meal and they will donate a portion of the proceed to the Redwood Gospel Mission!  I love the generousity of this town!  We are a community of people who are deeply, truly concerned about each other.  Help those in need have a good hot Thanksgiving dinner by sharing a meal at Velasco's!

We have a 2010 Date!

 Wow! What a great year 2009 was! We collected over 2,000 pounds of turkey that went to feed those in need a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! We are so very excited to begin the process of planning this year's Turkey Party! I know it seems early, but we wanted to get a "Save the Date" notice out there for November 14, 2010 from 3 - 5:30 pm. Save the date, let all of your friends and family know, we are off and rolling for a successful Turkey Party this year.
